Please read thorough all the information below, it is very important to follow all the rules and deadlines:
ALL required paperwork needs to be submitted for players to be eligible to play.
Every team needs to submit a National Sports ID Roster.
All final rosters must be submitted by June 1, 2025.

Completed Player Participant Form for all players.
The mandated coaching attire presents a professional appearance. Please refrain from coaching in basketball shorts, jeans, open toe shoes, tank tops, hats, sweat pants, etc.
Balling on the Beach would appreciate the following coaching attire:
- Collared Shirts
- Khaki Slacks/Khaki Style Shorts
“If a team has a twenty point lead with two minutes remaining, a mercy rule will be enforced to end the game”.
- All games will be played as follows:
- Grades 2nd through 5th will consist of two, fourteen minute halves and will use the 28.5 size ball.
- Grades 6th through 17U Varsity will consist of two, sixteen minute halves and will use a regulation size 29.5 basketball.
- No game will start before the scheduled time unless both coaches agree. There will be a minimum of a 3 minute warm-up period. Halftime will be 3 minutes unless both coaches agree to start earlier.
- Two 30 second Time-outs per half.
- Overtime: 2 minutes (one timeout only per overtime).
- A running clock will be implemented when any team obtains a 20 point lead.
- Two direct technical fouls during a game on a player, coach, or team representative will result in their ejection from that game and the next game of the tournament. Fighting and unsportsmanlike behavior can be more than one game suspension and is at the discretion of the tournament committee.
- Each team is responsible for their warm-up and game ball(s) and/or any other items brought into the game/gym. Balling on the Beach is not responsible for lost items.
- If a team forfeits two games by not participating; the team will be disqualified from the event and cannot participate in bracket/tournament play.
- If a team has a twenty point lead with two minutes remaining, a mercy rule will be enforced to end the game.
If there is a two-way tie in a pool, and the two teams who are tied played each other, the winning team from their game will win the tiebreaker. If the two teams who are tied did not play each other, then point differential will break the tie and rank the teams. If point differential does not break the tie, then points allowed will be used to break the tie and rank the teams.
If three or more teams are tied in a pool, then point differential will break the tie and rank the teams. If point differential does not break the tie, then points allowed will be used to break the tie and rank the teams.
A maximum of plus or minus 30 points is granted per game. Example: if a final score is 75 to 25, the winning team will receive +30 points and the losing team will receive -30 points (not +50 and -50).
Each team is responsible for bringing their warm up ball. BOTB will provide all clock personnel and scorekeepers. The ONLY patrons allowed at the score table are coaches, referees and score table personnel.
The schedule will be posted no later than, Friday, June 6th by 9:00 pm.
Please plan to arrive 2 hours prior to scheduled game time.
*NO SHOW teams will automatically forfeit their scheduled games, and those games will not be allowed to be rescheduled.*
All teams will play on Friday. Games begin at 2 PM. We are not taking any schedule requests.
Daily ticket(s) are valid for the purchased date only. CASH ONLY. ATM’s will be available on site.
Player admission is FREE. All players MUST wear uniforms for admission into the facility.

- Rosters are allowed a maximum of fifteen (15) players.
- Proof of age and grade is required for all players on the roster. Acceptable proofs of age are; National Sports ID Roster. Teams are required to have proof of age and grade upon check-in and throughout the tournament. It must be presented to Balling on the Beach representative/tournament director upon request.
- No roster additions will be permitted after the team has begun play of its first tournament game within any tournament.

- Hand Sanitizer Stations throughout the complex mounted to the walls. Teams can no longer bring their own balls to the facility. Our basketballs, and carts were treated with BioProtect which lasts for 90 days. We supply warm up balls and the game ball.
**Code of Conduct: Balling on the Beach Basketball Tournament**
**1. Agreement to Terms**
All players, attendees, and staff agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Broward County Convention Center, the host venue. By participating in or attending the tournament, all parties acknowledge and agree to adhere to this Code of Conduct.
**2. Introduction to the code of conduct**
This Code of Conduct applies to all participants in the Balling on the Beach Basketball Tournament, including referees, players, spectators, coaches, and members of the organizing committee or affiliated organizations. It is designed to promote a safe, respectful, and sportsmanlike environment for everyone involved. All individuals are expected to conduct themselves with integrity and respect, both on and off the court.
**3. Abuse or Assault of a Referee**
Misconduct or violations directed at referees will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
**Consequences:**
– **1st Offense:** Immediate removal from the venue for the remainder of the game.
– **2nd Offense:** Removal from the tournament for its duration.
– **3rd Offense:** The associated team will be disqualified and will forfeit all games.
**4. Misconduct by Parents, Family, Players, and Spectators**
Misconduct includes, but is not limited to:
– Verbal abuse toward referees, opposing coaches, players, or spectators.
– Unauthorized entry onto the court.
– Fighting or threats of violence.
Each team and club is responsible for the behavior of their parents, family members, players, and spectators.
**Consequences:**
– **1st Offense:** Immediate removal from the court/tournament grounds for the remainder of the game.
– **2nd Offense:** Removal from the tournament for its duration.
– **3rd Offense:** The associated team will be disqualified and will forfeit all games.
**5. Misconduct by Coaching Staff**
Misconduct includes, but is not limited to:
– Verbal abuse toward referees, opposing coaches, players, or spectators.
– Unauthorized entry onto the court.
– Fighting or threats of violence.
All teams and clubs are accountable for the conduct of their coaching staff. Referees must document any violations in detail in the game report.
– **Ejection Protocol:**
– Ejected coaching staff must leave the court and are not permitted to watch the remainder of the match.
– No communication (including cellular, two-way radios, digital, written, or verbal) is permitted between the ejected staff and team personnel or players.
– Returning to the court during or immediately after the game may result in additional sanctions, including game forfeiture.
**Consequences:**
– **1st Offense:** Immediate removal from the court/tournament grounds for the remainder of the game.
– **2nd Offense:** Removal from the tournament for its duration.
– **3rd Offense:** The associated team will be disqualified and will forfeit all games.
**6. Special Conditions Regarding Misconduct**
a. **Violent Conduct:**
Verification of violent conduct by a coach or staff member, even if not reported by a referee, will result in immediate suspension from the tournament, pending review by the Board.
b. **Board Review:**
The Tournament Board reserves the right to review the conduct of any coach, player, spectator, or club at any time to determine if further disciplinary action is required.
c. **Illegal Players:**
Any coach found to have knowingly rostered or played an ineligible or illegal player will be immediately expelled from the tournament, and all games involving that player will be forfeited.
By adhering to this Code of Conduct, all individuals contribute to creating a positive environment for everyone involved in the tournament. Violations may lead to disciplinary actions as outlined, including team disqualification and removal from the tournament grounds.
